– Nissan’s luxury division chose the Geneva Motor Show to unveil the QX30, a preview of what would be a crossover to rival the Audi Q3 and the Mercedes GLA, with whom it shares the platform.

With the official launch scheduled for 2016, the Infiniti QX30 is 4,430 mm long and offers 192 mm of ground clearance. The engine is a 2.0 turbo gasoline, which sends power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. Infiniti introduces a new exclusive edition of the QX70, the premium SUV formerly known as Infiniti FX, which adopted the new name with the Infiniti nomenclature changes in April 2014. It is an exclusive car with a more than sporty design. This edition adds a touch of elegance to the QX70’s design while maintaining its sporty proportions. It features black chrome elements in the grille, surrounding the fog lights, side ventilation grills, side skirts and surrounding rear matrices. The headlights have a darkened finish while the wheels are light alloy 21-inch, six-spoke black finish, equal to the roof racks and mirrors. Inside, the Infiniti QX70 S-Design is highlighted by the lacquered black of the center console and the red seams of seats, steering wheel, armrest and door panels. In addition, it has the same equipment as the S-Premium version of the QX70, the highest in the line. Under the hood of the QX70 S-Design is the 3.0-liter V6 six-cylinder diesel engine and direct injection with 238 hp

Inifiniti displays the Q50 Eau Rouge concept at the Detroit Motor Show. It’s a Formula 1-inspired version of the Q50 that features visual changes in the finish and, if it’s made, mechanical changes to take more than 500 hp at 80 kgfm, according to Infiniti CEO Johan de Nysschen. Starting from the inside, we find red carbon fiber in the center console and door panels. The same color is used in leather trim on the seats and the steering wheel. In the rest predominates the black color (including the chrome ones) and the leather lining. The exterior features carbon fiber in the redesigned front bumper, rear diffuser, rearview mirror, roof and side skirts. In the rear bumper we find LED lamps in the center, remembering F1 cars, and two large exhaust outlets. On the side, in addition to the carbon fiber skirt, we find Brembo brake calipers, hidden by beautiful 21-inch wheels. The future of this project is uncertain, so there were no mechanical adjustments. If it is produced, according to the CEO of the brand, its power will exceed 500 hp. Nothing was said about some Infiniti car technology – Red Bull Racing F1 that could be applied in the Eau Rouge.

Infiniti has released images of the Q80 Inspiration Concept, a study of a future premium model with four-door fastback format. This is an essay for the next top model of the Japanese brand that will have to fight among others with the Porsche Panamera. Powered by a plug-in hybrid propulsion system, this concept, which will be shown in Paris from tomorrow, will also be a technological showcase and a test of Infiniti’s aesthetic orientation for upcoming proposals. At 5.052 mm in length, the Q80 Inspiration Concept is 2,027 mm wide, 1,350 mm high and 3,103 mm wheelbase. With “suicidal” doors and 22-inch wheels, the model is capable of carrying four passengers and has panoramic roof in full length. The interior promises to be luxurious, with leather coverings and applications in carbon fiber and aluminum. Also noteworthy for the adaptive suspension and for the chassis made of lightweight materials.

– Infiniti presented at this year’s Los Angeles Show the Infiniti Synaptiq

The unique model was designed for the “Los Angeles Show Design Challenge” where this year’s theme was: “Feeling the future: How will cars interact with us in 2029?” John Sahs, Infiniti Interior Design Manager, said: “Our designers love to participate in this contest, showing how Infiniti car drivers will be able to interact with their vehicles in the coming decades. It’s extremely gratifying to the public too, because they can dream a little with us and identify with ideas that may look futuristic, but not so far from reality. “
